I am an expert in knee surgery having completed a number of higher specialist surgical fellowships in the field. I specialise in the treatment of all knee conditions from childhood to adulthood including the management of knee arthritis (eg knee replacements, partial knee replacements, knee osteotomy-realignment), knee sports injuries (eg knee ligament surgery including ACL Reconstruction), keyhole knee surgery (arthroscopic surgery) and knee revision surgery.
I am proud to specialise in the latest modern techniques in treating knee conditions to provide my patients with the best possible results and outcome. Although I perform conventional total knee replacements, I am also an expert in partial knee replacement surgery. I am one of the surgeons performing the highest number of such procedures in the area.
I have a specialist interest in sports injuries and ligament injuries and am involved in the treatment of professional sports teams and athletes. I also deliver a specialist children’s service at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon and Trauma Surgeon with a busy private practice at the Spire Leicester Hospital and with my NHS practice at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Leicester General Hospital.
After graduating from the University of Cambridge and Imperial College School of Medicine, London I completed basic surgical training in London followed by higher surgical training in Leicester. I have undertaken esteemed Fellowships in Knee surgery at The Royal Derby Hospital and also in Hip and Knee Surgery as the prestigious Stanmore Fellow (Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital London Fellowship). I have also been awarded further degrees of MA (Cantab), MSc (Orth Eng) and PGDipClinEd.
