I am a Consultant Neurologist welcoming patients with all neurological disorders including headache, dizziness, epilepsy, muscle and nerve disorders, smell and taste problems and stroke. I particularly welcome referrals for second opinion. I graduated in Medicine at Edinburgh University in 1964, and have been a Consultant Neurologist since 1976. I was a Consultant Neurologist at Queens Hospital Romford and since 2008 at Barts and the London NHS Trust.

I was an Honorary Consultant for 25 years at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square and have published over 150 scientific articles and written two books on disorders of smell and taste. I am founder and joint Chief Editor of a new international journal 'Multiple Sclerosis and related Disorders' to be published by Elsevier Press October 2011.

I am an experienced Consultant Neurologist and have appointments at the School of Medicine, Queen Mary University and at Barts and the London NHS Trust. Patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP letter of referral are also welcomed.

Research interests: Multiple sclerosis, parkinson's disease, smell and taste disorders and dizziness.
