I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate, bladder and kidney cancer. I am among the small group of UK surgeons who are fully proficient in all three major surgical approaches to prostate cancer—open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery—and to date I have performed more than 1,000 robotic procedures.

I have particular expertise in nerve sparing robotic prostatectomy using the NeuroSAFE technique, an advanced method developed to maximise cancer clearance while preserving urinary continence and sexual function. I carry out a high annual volume of robotic prostatectomies and have undertaken international training at leading centres, including University College London Hospitals, King’s College Hospital, Hamburg, and the ORSI Academy in Belgium.

In addition to surgical treatment, I provide comprehensive diagnostic services for prostate cancer, including MRI fusion targeted prostate biopsies for accurate tumour localisation, PSA testing, and the management and surveillance of early prostate cancer.

My clinical practice also covers the management of a wide spectrum of benign urological conditions, including blood in the urine, urinary tract infections, benign prostate enlargement, male urinary symptoms, kidney cysts and tumours, kidney stones and urinary incontinence.

I serve as an Associate Professor in Urology at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and am a designated robotic surgeon within the Complex Pelvic Surgery and Urological Reconstruction Team. In this role, I work closely with colorectal and gynaecological surgeons, particularly in complex pelvic cancer cases and in the management of endometriosis requiring reconstructive expertise.

I have been a Consultant Urological Surgeon for more than 20 years and previously led urological cancer services at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT), where I also served as Chair and Lead of the Specialist Prostate Cancer MDT. I am a core member of the London Cancer Collaborative, contributing to the development and improvement of centralised cancer pathways across NHS England.

I graduated from King Edward Memorial Hospital in 1987, receiving the prestigious JC Lisboa Gold Medal for achieving the highest performance in surgery. I went on to complete an advanced cancer fellowship at the internationally renowned Royal Marsden Hospital, followed by specialist training at major urological centres including the Royal Free, Charing Cross, Hammersmith and Christie Hospitals.

With more than 35 years of experience in urology, I am widely recognised for my expertise in robotic surgery, cancer diagnostics and complex pelvic procedures.
