I am a Consultant Plastic Surgeon. I offer cosmetic surgery procedures including breast reduction, liposuction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), brachioplasty (arm lift), blepharoplasty (upper eyelid reduction), prominent ear correction and earlobe surgery, mole removal and anti-wrinkle injection treatment. I hold Board Certification in Cosmetic Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons.
I also trained as a specialist hand surgeon, providing treatment for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s disease, trigger finger and hand arthritis, including finger joint replacement surgery. I am a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and hold the European Board of Hand Surgery Diploma (EBHS). I am both a tutor and an examiner for the British Hand Surgery Diploma and a member of the BSSH diploma committee.
My work as an NHS consultant involves hand trauma, elective hand surgery, skin cancer surgery and general plastic surgery, with special interests in osteoarthritis, paediatric hand surgery and secondary trauma surgery. I am clinical and educational supervisor for trainee doctors and plastic surgeons. I was appointed as an NHS Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon at the St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery in Chelmsford, which runs one of the busiest hand trauma units in the UK, in 2011.
I completed my basic surgical training, followed by specialist plastic surgery training at the University Hospital of Zurich and a Fellowship at St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery, Chelmsford. This included training in areas of plastic surgery such as burns surgery, reconstructive surgery after massive weight loss, skin cancer and cosmetic surgery as well as spending time training with Maxillofacial and Orthopaedic Surgeons. I underwent specialist hand surgery training during my Fellowship at St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery in Chelmsford and at Southend University Hospital working with both Plastic and Orthopaedic Surgery consultants.
I have published in international journals and have given lectures at a variety of national and international meetings. I am a member of both the British Association for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS) and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).
I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GPs letter of referral.
