Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood, treating patients with gastrointestinal problems, liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and patients with complex nutrition requirements. I use endoscopic procedures to treat patients with acute gastro-intestinal bleeding.
I trained in gastroenterology and liver diseases at King’s College Hospital, London, as part of the South East Thames rotation. I have experience in managing a wide range of complex, acute and chronic conditions.
I am interested in innovation and have developed a new design of naso-gastric tube. This design was given a highly commended prize in the competition in East of England region. I believe proper design is essential to all the services we develop and a good design is capable of solving most problems in life.
Patient safety is central to my clinical practice, together with a gentle, kind, considerate and ‘listening’ approach to patient care. I take time to discuss and involve patients in the decision process for managing their condition.
I see a wide range of conditions and symptoms in my clinic including; abdominal pain, bloating, Coeliac disease, dyspepsia (indigestion), gallbladder problems, gastro intestinal cancers, colonic polyps, malabsorption disorders, pancreas disorders, reflux, small bowel disorders, small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), swallowing difficulty, Ulcerative colitis and Crohns disease.
