I have been a Consultant Dermatologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Dermatopathology since May 1998, working across South Essex and at Bart’s Health. I cover general dermatology, routine dermatological surgery and specialise in non-surgical treatments for superficial forms of skin cancer and pre-cancerous skin lesions. My dermatopathology expertise allows me to cover the care of my patients, from the clinic and operating theatre through to the laboratory and back to the clinic, providing comprehensive care to my patients with any form of skin problem.
Over the past 25 years I have looked after thousands of patients with all forms of skin conditions, including most complex forms of skin cancer. I have performed over 500 dermatological surgery procedures and reported on well over 2,000 skin specimens every year.
I set up and lead the South Essex Dermatology service in its current form since 2004, handing over to my younger colleagues, to focus more on academic dermatology, particularly skin cancer.
I remain an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Dermatopathology at Bart’s Health where I engage in teaching largely post-graduates, specifically in Dermatology and Histopathology.
I am a consultant dermatologist at Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood, Essex and Spire Wellesley Hospital in Southend, Essex, offering private dermatologist care in their clean and comfortable hospitals. I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GPs letter of referral. Please call for more information.
