I currently work as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals. We provide tertiary level care to the whole of North East London.
Although I have a wide experience in the majority of the interventional radiology procedures, I do have a special interest in venous access (eg. Portacath, PICC lines and others) and embolisation procedures (eg. uterine fibroid, pelvic congestion, prostate and varicocele).
In a rapidly developing field, I believe in continuous improvement and innovation. Interventional Radiology is the art of performing minimally invasive procedures under image guidance. Most of our procedures are done under local anesthetic with almost no recovery time or post-operative rehabilitation.
A glimpse of the procedures that I regularly perform: Angioplasty, Venoplasty and IVC filter placement. Biliary drainage and stenting. Fibroid embolisation. Liver tumour ablation and embolisation. Nephrostomy and antegrade ureter stenting. Pelvic pain due to congestion syndrome. Portacath, PICC and central venous lines. Ultrasound and CT guided biopsy, drainage and fine needle aspiration (FNA) and varicocele and prostate embolisation.
Covering a wide scope of interventions & some radiology imaging, I have been performing a few thousand interventional, US, CT, MRI and X-ray reports a year for the last 16 years.
