"I'm a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust and aim to provide a similar excellent service for patients in the private sector, via Spire Gatwick Park and Spire St Anthony's hospitals."
I am a Consultant ENT Surgeon, with an NHS practice base at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust. My aim is to provide you with personalised and comprehensive care to help resolve your health concerns, with an emphasis on helping patients understand their condition and management plan.
I trained and qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Medical Schools, London, having also completed a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry. I have been practising ENT since 2002, and I have completed higher surgical training in ENT at a number of prestigious centres including Barts and The Royal London Hospitals, Charing Cross, Chelsea and Westminster, Royal Brompton, and The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital.
Additionally, I have an active research interest, and have completed two years advanced research in Molecular Oncology at the Institute of Cancer, London, which culminated in the award of an MD (Res), from the University of London. I was subsequently awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in both Clinical Surgery and Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.
I manage all general ENT conditions in adults and children, including coblation tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, grommets, hearing loss, tinnitus and assessment of snoring. I have a sub-specialist interest in rhinology (disease of the nose and sinuses) and thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
I manage all medical and surgical aspects of nose and sinus problems including rhinitis, allergy, nasal deformity, septoplasty, nasal polyps, sinus surgery, nasal valve surgery, septal perforation, facial pain and nosebleeds. My thyroid and parathyroid interest allows me to work closely with endocrine colleagues and provide full multidisciplinary care for my patients. I am the Lead Surgeon for thyroid and parathyroid surgery at my NHS trust and perform an average of 80 thyroid and parathyroid operations per year.
