I am a Consultant Cardiologist at the Heart Hospital, University College London. I qualified from the University of Southampton, School of Medicine in 1992 and completed my postgraduate specialist training in cardiology at the Sussex Cardiac Centre, Brighton and St George's Hospital, London. I was awarded a MD degree from Imperial College, London after completing my thesis on the clinical problem of heart failure with preserved systolic function. I have published many papers in the field of heart failure and I am a certified cardiac device specialist of the Heart Rhythm Society, USA. I undertook a one-year senior fellowship in the advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation service at the Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia.
I am trained in all aspects of general cardiology but have specialist interests in the management of heart failure and device therapy, including pacemaker, cardiac resynchronisation and defibrillator implantation.
