Professional profile

I am a Consultant General and Musculoskeletal Radiologist and am a member of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists (BSSR). I have a special interest in sports injuries and I was part of the team of Radiologists working at the World Para Athletics and IAAF World Athletics Championships in London 2017. I helped support players from the Pakistan Cricket Team during their Tour of England in 2016. I am the Lead Radiologist for the Bluesfest Lacrosse Tournament, which is the largest of its kind in Europe. I regularly visit a renowned Championship Football Club to help provide diagnostic imaging support. I am a Visiting Reader in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Surrey and am involved in a PhD project. I am a member of the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and the Football Association Medical Society (FAMS). I helped Spire St Anthony's set up a Specialist Integrated Musculoskeletal Sports Injury Clinic and am the Lead Radiologist for the service.

I have a special interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging involving ultrasound, CT and MRI, including ultrasound-guided interventions. I have a particular interest in sports injuries and have had experience of imaging of acute injuries using ultrasound, CT and MRI. I am able to perform a wide range of ultrasound-guided interventions including intra-articular injections such as for arthrograms and hydrodilatations, peritendinous and bursal injections, aspirations and carpal tunnel and trigger finger releases.

I performed over 1,500 ultrasound scans last year, including a wide range of interventional procedures. I perform approximately 60 arthrograms a year.

I am soon to take up a role as a Visiting Reader in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Surrey to to be involved in a PhD project.

I am on the teaching faculty for the London School of Regional Anaesthesia Course, which attracts attendees from across the world. I am a teacher on the King's College Hospital FRCR 2B course. I deliver lectures and practical teaching sessions on musculoskeletal ultrasound.
