I have been a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and the King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor. I specialise in the treatment and management of glaucoma and complex cataracts. I am the clinical lead for the ophthalmology department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and glaucoma lead for West Berkshire.
I graduated from Imperial College London Medical School and also hold a BSc in management from the Imperial College Business School.
I completed my medical and surgical training on the Imperial College rotation, including the higher medical specialist exams, before embarking on my ophthalmology career.
I underwent specialist ophthalmic surgical training in the Oxford Deanery, where I trained under pioneers in modern cataract surgery and completed a subspecialist fellowship in glaucoma.
I am skilled in traditional glaucoma surgeries (trabeculectomy and aqueous shunt surgery) and have been actively involved in the adoption of novel laser and minimally invasive glaucoma surgical techniques.
I am a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth).
I continue to be actively involved with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and I have been elected as the regional representative to the council for the Oxford region.
