Ms Evgenia Anikina

Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon (Cataract, Surgical Vitreoretinal (VR), and Medical Retina)

MA(Cantab) MB BChir FRCOphth

Specialises in

I am a highly experienced retinal specialist, having trained in Cambridge and London. I have undertaken two surgical retinal fellowships and a medical retina fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, prior to being appointed as a Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire NHS Trust.

I approach each case holistically, listening to patients’ concerns and developing specific treatment plans that best suit each individual patient. My expertise across the medical and surgical retinal fields allows a seamless, combined approach to complex eye problems.

I am passionate about education and have been involved with multiple teaching and training roles both inside and outside of the medical fields from very early on in my career.

I recognise the importance of personal development and professional collaboration and am an active member of several professional organisations, as well as having several national and international roles.
