Dr Orr is a graduate of Royal London Hospital Medical College. He trained in cardiology in Reading and Oxford 1993 - 2001. He was a British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellow, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Oxford 1996 - 1998, investigating atrial arrhythmias and the role of biatrial pacing in their prevention after cardiac surgery.
Dr Orr was Interventional Fellow, Department of Cardiology, Green Lane Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand in 2002. He has produced publications on atrial fibrillation and cardiac arrhythmias (Oxford Textbook of Geriatric Medicine), diseases of the aorta, valve disease, angioplasty and pre-operative risk.
He is a cardiologist for Reading Football Club and is currently Clinical Director of Thames Valley Cardiac Network.
