I studied medicine at the Imperial College School of Medicine, London where I won several prizes.
I completed gastroenterology training at Southampton University Hospital as a specialist registrar before conducting three years research in clinical nutrition and inflammatory bowel disease at the University of Southampton.
I was appointed to the Royal Berkshire Hospital as a consultant Gastroenterologist in June 2009.
