I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. I qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1990. I then obtained the FRCS (Eng.) in 1994 and trained in urology in South Wales. I spent two years as a research fellow at the University of Wales College of Medicine and obtained my MD thesis in 1999. My higher surgical training was completed in Cardiff, Newport and Swansea.
As well as practising most aspects of general urology, my subspecialist interests are stone surgery and minimally invasive urology. I also have a secondary interest in urodynamics and female incontinence surgery.

I was born in Caerphilly and educated in Bristol. I am married with a small daughter. I am a proficient pianist and obtained Grade 8 qualification before starting university. I have organised musical charity performances in the past, but now continue to play for my personal pleasure.Back to top
