I am an accomplished Oncoplastic Breast Consultant Surgeon with years of experience managing breast cancer and diseases of the breast. I can perform advanced Oncoplastic breast cancer procedures and reconstructions, including innovative techniques such as lumpectomy with reconstruction and Implant-based breast reconstruction with mastectomy and Axillary Surgery.
Treatments I offer include breast reconstruction, including dermal sling reconstruction, immediate protectoral breast reconstruction with implant and Braxon Mesh based reconstruction following breast cancer surgery, excision of benign skin lesions from breast, nipple reconstruction, and treatment of benign breast conditions. My clinical interests include benign breast problems, breast cancer, breast care, and breast disease.
Through a systematic approach of triple assessment, I provide valuable and timely clinical diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer management. The treatment for breast cancer involves a joint effort of my team of expert professionals, which includes highly trained radiologists and pathologists. I have proven expertise in optimising breast cancer care pathways through strategic leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration.
I bring years of experience in breast surgery, having worked in multiple hospitals where I have confidently performed a wide range of complex procedures to treat breast cancer patients. My expertise is a testament to my dedication and skill in this vital area of healthcare. Over the years, I have adapted various techniques of breast reconstruction, either as one stage or two stages, to provide optimal cancer and cosmetic outcomes.
I am attached to the Royal College of Surgeons and hold the precious Fellowship of the European College of Breast Surgeons qualification. This unique position allows me to provide an international perspective and experience in the management of Breast diseases, which is crucial in our increasingly globalized world.
Over the years, I have been an author of various collaborative and Independent publications (available online) on breast cancer surgery and breast reconstruction techniques. I have had the privilege of writing chapters in the "Textbook of Breast Diseases" and "Prepectoral Breast Reconstruction", which are used for teaching and training at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
I am a passionate educator and clinical mentor, consistently contributing to professional development. As an Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University, I aim to aspire to medical careers by teaching, training, and promoting good professional ethics.
