I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. I trained in Yorkshire and Windsor before entering the higher surgical training programme in Wales. I undertook training in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and a Fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology in Toronto, Canada.
I am a Member of the Paediatric Opthalmology Committee of the Royal College of Opthalmologists.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my three children. I play badminton regularly and am a fairweather runner (otherwise I use the gym). I love long walks and visiting new cities, taking in the architecture. On a miserable day there is nothing like a good book or DIY in the house.
