I have 20 years' experience in ophthalmology working in a variety of eminent ophthalmic centres in the UK and internationally.
Currently I am working as a Corneal Consultant in Singleton Hospital, Swansea. I have completed a prestigious fellowship at the University of Toronto in Cornea and Refractive Surgery, where I learnt the pioneering technique of Cornea transplantation through keyhole access (DMEK). I am the only UK surgeon to be invited to the faculty of the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting to teach this technique.
Besides offering Premium Lenses for cataract surgery, I also am the only surgeon offering Corneal cross linking to patients with Keratoconus on the NHS.
To date I have peroformed more than 1,000 Cataract Surgeries and about 150 Cornea transplants.
In addition to my clinical work, I am proud to be College tutor at Singleton and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University, teaching Optometry Students.
