I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based appointed over 35 years ago with the intention of providing a comprehensive specialist orthopaedic service in adult hip surgery. My clinical private practice is based at the Spire Hospital Cardiff centred on the management of adult hip conditions including joint replacement surgery and the care of osteoarthritis.

I have been involved in a number of innovative developments over the years including computer guided hip surgery, micro hip replacements and minimally invasive anterior hip replacement surgery.

To date, I have performed over 5,000 posterior hip replacements and over 600 minimally invasive direct anterior approach hip replacements.

My current research and teaching interests are in minimally invasive primary hip replacement surgery with a special interest direct anterior approach hip replacement with future application in robotic guided hip surgery.

I am a member of the International Member American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Expert Witness Institute Membership No. 0640 , General Medical Council, Premium Medical Protection, British Medical Association, Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association and the Leading Physicians of the World. I was also Past President of the British Society for Computer Aided Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOSUK).

I come from a mixed Italian and Sri Lankan Tamil parentage. Married with three sons and a daughter, I still find time to enjoy another passion in my life - that of golfing.
