Mr Luke Anderson
I am a glaucoma and cataract specialist. I qualified from Leicester University in 2002 and then undertook Ophthalmic higher surgical training in Hampshire and then Wales. I completed my Glaucoma Training in the University Hospital Wales and then became the glaucoma lead for the Cwm Taf University Trust. I have held several training positions in the royal college, currently I am a founder member on the steering group for implementation of surgical simulation training into the curriculum.
I am the only surgeon in South Wales with experience and currently undertaking minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. I offer this alone or in combination with cataract surgery.
My current Ophthalmic research includes the digital assessment of vision, the use of data and neural networks in the diagnosis and prognosis of eye disease. My current Glaucoma research project is looking at glaucoma care pathways in glaucomatous patients.
Spire Cardiff Hospital is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.
