In my General Surgery practice, I undertake abdominal, inguinal (groin) and femoral hernia repairs and remove skin lesions such as cysts/ lipomas. I have excellent experience of treating complex colorectal problems using laparoscopic (keyhole) and Robotic Colorectal Surgery.

My special interests cover all aspects of Colorectal and General Surgery. Specifically, I have excellent experience of treating bowel cancer, diverticular disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.

I graduated from Cardiff University, School of Medicine in 2006 and completed my surgical training in Bristol and Cardiff. Following this, I spent a year working at the Mayo Clinic, USA. This is a world-renowned institution and is considered to be the number one hospital in North America for the treatment of Gastrointestinal disease. During training I received a graduate research MD from the Royal College of Surgeons of England for work in surgical simulation and was awarded a Medical Doctorate (MD) for this work.

My research interests are focussed on colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and surgical training. I have published numerous (>50) articles and have presented widely on national and international forums.
