I have been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon for eight years at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital (Cwm Taf University Health Board) and am an expert in cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation and medical retinal disorders. I routinely perform cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation, including premium lenses and have performed more than 5,000 cataract surgeries.

I have trained in leading eye institutes at New Delhi, Sheffield and Cardiff, followed by a medical retina fellowship at Bristol Eye Hospital. Here I developed my expertise in management of medical retinal disorders.

I am the Clinical lead of the Macula Services at Cwm Taf University Health Board where age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion is managed with intravitreal injections and implants. I have set up a Uveitis Clinic for the management of these complex eye conditions.

I have a keen interest in and am actively involved in research projects dealing with retinal disorders and have numerous publications in scientific journals. I am a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and American Academy of Ophthalmology. I am the Audit and Clinical Governance lead in Ophthalmology at our Health Board.
