Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Reyad Abbadi at Spire include:
I trained at King's College London and qualified in 1995. I also undertook my surgical training there and in South East London and Kent. During my training I held an academic appointment with King's College London as a Lecturer in Surgery. Having spent my formative years at a leading international centre for the treatment of liver disease, I decided at an early stage to pursue a career in liver and pancreatic surgery.
This was followed by a period of training at Addenbrooke's Hospital (Cambridge University Hospitals). It included a fellowship in HPB surgery and a two-year fellowship in solid organ transplantation, which included training in liver, pancreas, kidney, and intestinal transplantation.
I undertake all aspects of surgery of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts and pancreas. I have specialist experience and expertise in repairing complications of gallbladder surgery, surgery for complex abdominal tumours and sarcomas and radical resection of bile duct cancer. I also have a special interest in the surgical treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.
