Dr Nathan Manghat

Consultant Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiologist

MBChB, MRCP, FRCR, MD

I have special expertise in all aspects of non-invasive cardiac imaging using MRI and CT. I have particular interest in cardiac CT which we hope to soon introduce at the Spire Hospital; in particular, we aim to streamline the diagnosis of coronary artery disease using this rapid, non-invasive, low radiation dose procedure.

I had several years of experience in clinical cardiology before training in radiology. I have a postgraduate doctorate (MD) in The Clinical Applications of ECG-gated Cardiac Computed Tomography obtained from the Universities of Plymouth and Exeter. I have been awarded Level 3 (of 3) accreditation in Cardiac CT by the BSCI. I did a one year cardiac radiology fellowship, with emphasis in all aspects of imaging in congenital heart disease, at the prestigious Green Lane Cardiovascular Service, Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand.

I also perform general radiology reporting with an emphasis on cardiovascular and thoracic disease and I am trained in endovascular interventional techniques.
