Dr Amit Patel
Consultant Gynaecology Oncologist

Specialises in
Over more than 15 years, I have acquired wealth of experience and knowledge in gynaecology.
After my graduation (MBBS) in 1998, I trained for and now hold specialist qualifications in several areas of gynaecology gained through the training programmes approved by Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).
I am passionate about surgical excellence and patient safety which I believe are interlinked and inseparable. My experience of voluntary collection and analyses of my own surgical outcomes since 1999 has been instrumental in implementation of surgical safety monitoring systems in two gynaecological oncology centres in the UK.
Clinical research and medical statistics has always been of profound interest to me. I gained MD (Doctor of Medicine degree) in 2001 and was conferred a Masters degree with distinction in Clinical Research in 2012. I have received prestigious Edgar Gentilli prize from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) for the best research in Gynaecological Oncology. I have published several research articles in acclaimed medical journals as detailed below.
