Mr James English graduated in 1983 from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and received most of his training in Dublin and in London.
Mr English specialises in complex laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for women with a wide variety of gynaecological conditions. He teaches and operates extensively in the United Kingdom as well as The Hague and Hamburg.
Mr English is one of the most experienced surgeons in the world in the surgical treatment of severe endometriosis and general laparoscopic surgery and in both his NHS and private practices believes that team-working with other specialists offers women the best possible outcomes. Together with other laparoscopic surgeons he has formed the Sussex Centre for Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery based at the Montefiore Hospital.
Mr James English has pioneered radical laparoscopic surgery for severe endometriosis in the UK and has presented and published the results of his surgery extensively.
