I undertook my undergraduate training in the UK and USA which lead to my specialist training in the north of England culminating in advanced gynaecological surgery in Newcastle. I was appointed as a substantive full-time consultant in gynaecological surgery in 2011. I am a core member of the cancer and colposcopy teams, deputy lead for gynaecological cancer for Newcastle Hospitals and lead for endometriosis.

I am the clinical lead for endometriosis, outpatient hysteroscopic sterilisation and the Regional Preceptor for advanced Hysteroscopic Surgery. I am a course director for advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery attracting delegates from all over the world.
