I am a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist. I provide a comprehensive range of gynaecological care in most aspects of gynaecology such as general well-woman checks, cervical smears, menstrual disorders, subfertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome, fibroids, prolapse, contraception, psychosexual and menopausal problems. I also provide obstetric care in both low and high-risk pregnancies, as well as pre-conception counselling and advice.
A firm believer in holistic approach to medical care, I also believe that women deserve the highest standard of care and aim to provide this by taking into account each patient’s individuality and uniqueness.
I graduated from India in 1993 and began my career in obstetrics and gynaecology at the prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India, where I completed my postgraduation (MD) in obstetrics and gynaecology in 1998. After working for a couple more years at the same institution, I worked in Muscat, Oman for 2 years in a socio-culturally diverse female population before moving to London.
I trained in the Northwest Thames region of London primarily at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where I had the privilege of training with some of the eminent doctors in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. I was awarded the Gold Medal in the 2001 examinations for the Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (MRCOG), UK. I have a broad and extensive clinical and surgical experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and have obtained specialist skills training in the management of high risk pregnancies, medical disorders in pregnancy and leadership on the labour ward. I took up my substantive appointment at the West Middlesex University Hospital in 2008, where I am the lead for endocrine disorders and HIV in pregnancy, I am also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Imperial College, London, actively involved in teaching and have published both nationally and internationally.

I am married with two children, actively and successfully juggling my professional and personal life. My family provides the perfect backdrop to a busy professional life and I love to relax by spending time with my children. I like going to cinema/theatre, reading, travelling and also classical music and dance. I also love to cook for friends and family – particularly traditional Indian cuisine.
