Professional profile

I have been in practice in the NHS and private since 1997. I did my basic medical training and general surgery training in South Africa and then specialised in vascular surgery in Manchester (UK), Seattle and Houston (USA).

My philosophy is to maximise the use of minimally invasive VNUS closure procedure.

I have extensive experience and interest in dealing with vascular (circulatory) problems and venous disease: varicose veins, varicose ulcers, pelvic varicose veins and thread veins where I use minimally invasive treatments such as laser, VNUS closure and foam sclerotherapy. I am also interested in aortic aneurysm treatment, treatment of carotid artery disease to prevent strokes, treatment of blocked arteries in the limbs and management of excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).

Clinical Interests

Varicose veins, venous ulcers, pelvic varicose veins, thread veins. Carotid surgery to prevent strokes. Aortic aneurysm repair (open and EVAR). Lower limb bypass for blocked arteries. Treatment of excess sweating/hyperhidrosis. Hernia repairs. Minimally invasive VNUS closure procedure. Invasive vascular surgery.
