I have been trained extensively in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Surgery. Following my undergraduate Dental and Medical qualifications I have worked and trained in many renowned hospitals both nationally and internationally.
I spent a few years in India where I first qualified in Dentistry from SDM Dental College, Dharwad in 1992. During this time I also undertook a period of focused research and was subsequently awarded a Masters Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (MDS).
After many years of postgraduate training as a junior and senior trainee, I then undertook further medical training and qualified in medicine from Guys, Kings and St Thomas' Hospitals, London. Following my medical training I undertook further surgical training in general surgery, general medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery and neurosurgery.
In 2008 I commenced my speciality training in oral and maxillofacial surgery working in some of London's leading hospitals including Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, Eastman Dental Hospital, St Bartholomew's Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, and Northwest London Hospitals. I completed my higher surgical training and was then awarded the Intercollegiate FRCS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
I am an examiner for the MFDS part 2 examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and MJDF part 2 examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I am also an instructor for the Advanced Trauma Life Support course (ATLS).
