Professional profile

I am the the lead clinician for the regional oral and maxillofacial services based at Northwick Park Hospital. I am also is the lead clinician oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals. Following my undergraduate dental and medical qualifications, I worked and trained in many renowned hospitals both nationally and internationally. I qualified in dentistry in 1992, following which I also undertook a period of focused research and was awarded a masters degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery (MDS). I also has a medical degree (MBBS) from King's College, London.

Having trained in general surgery and general medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery and neurosurgery, I then started my specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery for another five years, working in some of London’s leading hospitals including Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, Eastman Dental Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, and Northwest London Hospitals. Having completed my higher surgical training I passed the Intercollegiate FRCS in oral and maxillofacial surgery and was subsequently awarded the certificate of completion of specialist training.

I continue to take an active interest in medical and dental education and training. I am clinical supervisor for the specialty registrars in oral and maxillofacial surgery, also educational supervisor for the dental foundation trainees.
