Virtual consultations:
Mr Clark has been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon for 13 years and is a highly qualified fellowship-trained expert in dealing with all problems relating to the foot and ankle. Mr Clark has a busy NHS and private practice in the East Berkshire region and surrounding areas, and co-founded the Windsor Foot and Ankle Clinic in 2007. In 2014 he was invited to join the Fortius clinic in London and thus now has a London private practice in addition.
Mr Clark specialises purely in foot and ankle surgery, including toe surgery (for example bunions / hallux valgus), complex deformity corrections, arthritis surgery, arthrodesis (fusion) and joint replacement - predominantly 1st MTP joint and ankle replacement. Mr Clark has a keen interest in trauma and is a member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine - he therefore regularly sees and treats such problems as Achilles tendon disorders, Plantar fasciitis, stress fractures, ankle instability and shin splints. Mr Clark uses minimally invasive techniques, such as arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) and non-invasive techniques such as Shockwave therapy whenever appropriate.
Mr Clark has performed thousands of hallux valgus (bunion) operations and many of a wide range of other foot and ankle procedures over a 13 year period in both NHS and private practice. These include arthrodesis (fusion) of foot and ankle joints, tendon and ligament repairs and reconstructions, deformity correction procedures, cartilage repairs and joint replacements.
Mr Clark is research lead in the Orthopaedic Department at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals, and is Principle Investigator on a number of studies currently.
Mr Clark is an elected member of the Education Committee of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS), which involves a heavy commitment to convening and lecturing on courses in his field of expertise around the country and abroad.
Mr Clark co-founded a post-graduate "Fellowship" (apprenticeship) in foot and ankle surgery in 2007, which is now nationally recognised. Mr Clark is also co-founder and partner of the Windsor Foot and Ankle Clinic.
