I am a Consultant Physician specialising in Geriatric Medicine and Stroke Medicine. I completed my medical degree alongside a Bachelor's (BSc) degree in Neuroscience at St George's University of London in 2006. My medical training in General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics took place at various Northwest London hospitals, including Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust and Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. Following a Stroke OOPE (out of programme experience) at Charing Cross Hospital, I have focused on Stroke Medicine and have held the position of Consultant Physician at The Hillingdon Hospital since 2016.
I am the pioneer of many patient focused initiatives including the highly successful Hillingdon Patient Stroke Forum which I founded in 2016 and continue to run annually.
I currently lead the Stroke Early Supported Discharge service under the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I hold the role of Medical Director for the Physician Associate MSc program at Brunel Medical School and actively coordinate collaborative projects among the three organisations I am associated with.
I specialise in Stroke and Geriatric medicine with a special interest in Stroke/TIA treatment, elderly care, falls and headaches.
Beyond my clinical work, I am passionate about education. I serve as an examiner for national exams at the Faculty of Physician Associates for the Royal College of Physicians and I supervise medical students and junior doctors. I recently completed my Medical Education MSc at the Royal College of Physicians with a particular interest in Team Based Learning (TBL).
