Your spine is one of the most important and complex parts of your body - keeping it healthy is vital if you want to lead an active and pain free life.
At Spire Healthcare, our team of Consultant Spinal Surgeons specialise in the management and treatment of a range of spinal conditions.
Meet the consultants who are part of our specialist spinal team here at Spire Regency HospitalSpinal Consultants
Patients travel from Cheshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Greater Manchester to see our innovative spinal surgeons. Many of our orthopaedic consultants have national and international reputations. At Spire there is a regular programme of local education for medical, nursing, theatre and allied health staff in orthopaedic surgery to make sure we keep at the forefront of modern medical practices.
We provide superior treatment and services in this field across the UK. We were the first hospital in Cheshire to perform Vertebroplasty (a procedure for the treatment of vertebral collapse due to spinal osteoporosis). We also offer innovative procedures like the X-Stop procedure for lumbar spinal stenosis and Balloon Kyphoplasty for vertebral compression fractures.
Our facilities include some of the latest generation scanners and operating theatres with laminar flow, an essential requirement for orthopaedic surgery to help minimise the risk of infection. The spinal service at Spire Regency Hospital features a team of eminent orthopaedic spinal consultant surgeons, highly trained nursing staff, physiotherapists, and consultant radiologists using gold standard MRI and DEXA scanners.
We are equipped for complex spinal surgery and specialised procedures. Working with our highly experienced physiotherapists and radiologists, our specialists can provide the care you need to return to fitness as soon as possible.
At Spire Regency we’ll see you as an individual and tailor treatment and ongoing support around you. We provide a range of information to help you understand the choice of procedures, what they involve and the associated risks and benefits, so you feel in control of your care.
