David Pratt underwent a hip replacement operation at Spire Regency Hospital in July 2013. The 70 year old from Poynton praises the care he received.
"I had been living with arthritis for a number of years prior to the operation, which caused a constant dull ache in the hip joints, as well as regular attacks of sharp pain.
"I am a keen sailor with a boat on Lake Windermere and it had got to the point where my condition was preventing me from going out on the water.

But I needn't have worried - from arriving at reception to discharge after treatment, I could not criticise a thing.'

"Prior to the operation I knew I was going to have to return at a later date for the same procedure on my other hip. My biggest worry - having never been in such an environment before - was that the first operation would leave me dreading having to undergo the second procedure.'
