I specialise in hip and knee surgery, with a particular focus on treating arthritic conditions. I perform Mako robot-assisted total hip and knee replacements, using advanced robotic technology to help improve precision during surgery. For patients, this can support reduced pain levels and a faster recovery after treatment.
Alongside joint replacement surgery, I also carry out arthroscopy procedures for meniscal and cartilage problems. Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat issues inside the joint. I also offer a range of injections, including steroid injections, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and viscosupplementation, depending on each patient’s individual needs and symptoms.
I have a sub-specialist interest in musculoskeletal tumour surgery, including the assessment and treatment of soft tissue lumps and swellings, as well as metastatic bone disease. At Spire Manchester Hospital, I established a rapid access lumps clinic, providing a one-stop service for investigating lumps anywhere on the body.
I completed my medical degree at the Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2003. I then undertook my early surgical training in the North West before completing specialist postgraduate training in trauma and orthopaedics on the East Midlands (South) rotation. Following this, I completed fellowships in lower limb arthroplasty and sarcoma surgery in Leicester, Nottingham and at Wrightington Hospital.
I believe patients should always be at the centre of the decision-making process. During consultations, I take time to answer questions clearly and help patients understand their treatment options so they can feel informed and confident about their care.
My practice is evidence based, and I regularly collect outcome data as part of my commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care. I am also pleased to receive regular positive feedback from my patients.
