Originally from Northern Ireland, I studied Medicine at Manchester University Medical School and completed my postgraduate training in the North West region. During this time I also undertook research into hormone replacement therapy and gynaecological cancer. I was appointed in June 2005 as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Tameside General Hospital, where I was the local Gynaecological Cancer and Colposcopy lead.
My special interests include, the modern management of the menopause, infertility, PCOS, fibroids, prolapse, menstrual disorders including heavy bleeding, ovarian cancer screening, prolapse and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. I am also certified to perform pelvic ultrasound scans.
