Dr Christopher Jordan
MBChB, PgDip (Surgical Practice), MRCGP
"Working at Spire allows me the time to really get to know my patients, understand their problems and provide the personal service I have always wanted to provide."
I am a General Practitioner and member of The Royal College Of General Practitioners working within both the NHS and privately. As a family doctor I believe in seeing patients as a whole person and seek to understand all of their problems; physical, mental or social. I am experienced in seeing all medical ailments, including but not limited to musculoskeletal complaints (including backpain), mental health, abdominal pain, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, paediatrics and skin complaints. I have a special interest in sports medicine, and work for a number of professional sports teams.
Working within the NHS I understand many of the frustrations patients have and how this can impact on their wellbeing. I try and treat each patient as I would want my loved ones to be treated and Spire allows me to spend more time with my patients, to understand the problem they are presenting with and how this impacts their life. My Spire Regency patients benefit from quick access to investigations and direct referral to specialists giving peace of mind and reassurance that their problems will be dealt with promptly.
My consultations last 30 minutes, allowing time to take a detailed history and gain a true understanding of any concerns, particularly if you feel these may have been previously overlooked. For more complex issues a 60 minute initial consultation is advisable as this will give time to go through previous investigations, treatments or medical reports, if you are able to bring these along. I can also provide cardiovascular risk assessments, joint injections and medication optimisation.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Christopher Jordan at Spire include:
General Practice – cardiovascular disease, chronic pain, diabetes, family medicine, mental health, men's health, musculoskeletal complaints, paediatrics, respiratory problems, skin complaints and women's health.
Spire Regency Hospital Macclesfield is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.
