I qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London in 1989. I trained in rheumatology and general medicine in London, Sheffield and Manchester.
I have been a Consultant Rheumatologist at Stepping Hill Hospital since 2000. I am a general rheumatologist and have expertise in treating patients with a wide range of rheumatic complaints including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome. I have a specialist interest in osteoporosis and Paget's disease of the bone. I am director of the Osteoporosis Service in Stockport and have published over 15 original scientific articles.
