Professional profile

I regularly perform a range of plastic surgery procedures, which include breast reconstruction, breast enlargement, tummy tuck, liposuction, eyelid surgery, mole removal. In particular I specialise in the management of skin cancer, head and neck surgery, microsurgery, burns, endoscopic assisted surgery, breast reconstruction and cleft lip and palate surgery. I qualified in 1988 from University College London and went on to complete my Officer training at Sandhurst. After two years as a general practitioner I started plastic surgery training in London in 1994. I moved to Odstock Hospital, Salisbury in 1996 as an SHO and trained in hand surgery, breast reconstruction, burn management, the use of lasers and general plastic, reconstructive and plastic surgery. I spent a year researching the management of chemical burns and have published several clinical papers. In 2000 I moved to Canniesburn hospital, Glasgow, where I received training in wide variety of sub-specialties. Having attained the Plastic Surgery Fellowship examination, FRCS (Plast), in September 2002, and passed the European Board Fellowship Examination in Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) in November 2002, my Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training (CCST) was awarded in February 2003. After returning from a busy 3 month deployment in Kuwait, where I treated many war casualties, in particular a number of major burns, I moved back down south from Glasgow with my wife and 4 children and took up the post of Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the Defence Medical Services at The Royal Hospital Haslar and Portsmouth Healthcare NHS trust in May 2003.
