Professional profile

My orthopaedic practice concentrates exclusively on conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow. I favour key hole techniques where possible and now carry out more than three quarters of operations arthroscopically. I now perform Platelet Rish Plasma (PRP) treatment in the out-patient department of Spire portsmouth Hospital, allowing me to treat problems such as 'tennis elbow' without the need for surgical intervention. I qualified as a doctor from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1992 and trained as a specialist surgeon on the Wessex Orthopaedic Rotation. I had the opportunity to develop my expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery by undertaking a fellowship in France with Professor Pascal Boileau, one of the world's leading shoulder and arthroscopic surgeons.

Personal Profile

My main interests outside of medicine are my family and sport. I played football and rugby for many years but have now hung up my boots. However I still enjoy windsurfing and the occasional game of tennis when time allows. I speak fluent French.
