I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a particular focus on knee conditions, including both keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery and knee replacement procedures.
I see patients with a wide range of knee problems, from sports injuries and soft tissue damage through to more advanced arthritis requiring joint replacement. This includes treating meniscal injuries, ligament problems such as ACL tears, and cartilage damage, as well as carrying out primary and revision knee replacement surgery.
My background includes medical training at the University of Liverpool, followed by specialist orthopaedic training across Liverpool and Manchester. I also spent time as a research fellow at the Medical Research Council Trauma Centre in Manchester, which has helped shape my approach to evidence-based care.
Alongside my clinical work, I have strong links with sport and performance medicine. I have worked as an orthopaedic consultant with professional football and motorsport organisations, supporting athletes with injury prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
My approach is centred on understanding each patient’s lifestyle and goals, whether that’s returning to sport, staying active or improving day-to-day comfort. I aim to provide clear advice and tailored treatment plans to help patients get back to doing what matters most to them.

The Rapid Access Winter Sports Clinic is available every Monday. Patients will be assessed by Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Robert Harvey and offered scans and further investigations if advised by the consultant.
