I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon seeing patients at Spire with hip and knee pain, arthritis and sports‑related injuries. My approach is always to start with a clear assessment and explore the most appropriate treatment for each individual, whether that’s conservative management or surgery.
I have extensive experience in hip and knee surgery, including primary and revision hip replacements, knee replacements and keyhole procedures. I regularly support patients with ongoing or complex joint pain, helping them return to activity and regain confidence in everyday movement. Where surgery is not immediately required, I also offer a range of non‑surgical treatments through Spire, including targeted injections and extracorporeal shock wave therapy for persistent tendon and soft‑tissue conditions.
My specialist training in knee surgery was completed at leading orthopaedic centres in the UK and overseas, including Wrightington Hospital, the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, and hospitals in Australia and the United States. This broad experience allows me to offer both modern surgical techniques and practical, evidence‑based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and goals.
Alongside treating wear‑and‑tear joint conditions, I have a strong interest in sports injuries and work with patients of all activity levels, from recreational athletes to those simply wanting to move comfortably again.
Outside of work, I live in Cheshire with my family and enjoy spending time outdoors, particularly walking, cycling, sailing and climbing.
