Michelle, aged 46 from Brownhills, has suffered with osteoarthritis for 20 years and fibromyalgia for the past three years. She had tried many times, over a number of years, to get a breast reduction through the NHS, but kept getting turned away.

Then a family member offered to pay for the surgery, in the hope of it reducing some of the pain in her spine. So she went to see Dr Lahiri; she found that he was kind, approachable and put her at ease.

On the day of the surgery she was told to take three sports bras with her, all of different sizes, as it was hard to tell what size she would be until the surgery was taking place. Dr Lahiri had made her aware of the complications that could occur after such a drastic change, but he knew that she wanted to go from an E cup to a B cup.

Michelle was thrilled when she woke up to find that she was now wearing her new B cup sports bra. She says that everyone now comments on how great she looks, as her breasts now look in proportion with her body. She knew it wouldn’t cure her condition, but does not regret it one bit. She feels more confident now and is able to buy a range of different clothes that she feels comfortable in.

Michelle says: “I don’t miss my big chest at all. Dr Lahiri did an amazing job and I would highly recommend him to anyone!”
