I have worked as a Physiotherapist for over 20 years, initially specialising in cardio-respiratory physiotherapy and later in orthopaedic rehabilitation. I have trained as a hand and wrist specialist following a Master’s Degree in hand and wrist therapy. I have set up and established a successful hand and wrist service at Spire Little Aston, with the aim of developing a leading hand service in the region.
I have extensive experience of treating a variety of hand conditions including the production of bespoke splints. I have specific interests in tendinopathy, post-operative rehabilitation for thumb joint replacement, trapeziectomy, Dupuytren's and fracture management. I have developed local protocols for the post-operative management of specific hand conditions.
In addition to my physiotherapy role above, I am also the lead respiratory outpatient therapist for the hospital treating a variety of respiratory conditions and am currently involved in the development and establishment of the long COVID rehabilitation service.
