I am a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon. Prior to Consultant appointment in 2018 I completed a prestigious National Oncoplastic Fellowship at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB). I recently completed a 4 year term as Clinical Lead in UHB.
Actively involved in both local and national clinical trials, I am the Principal Investigator for several breast cancer research projects in collaboration with the University of Birmingham. My academic background includes a PhD in Breast Cancer Research from King’s College London, and I have contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and been invited to present at both national and international conferences.
My clinical expertise covers the full spectrum of breast conditions, including breast cancer and benign breast disease. I have a particular interest in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, as well as the management of rare breast sarcomas. In addition, I have specialised training in delivering electrochemotherapy for patients with metastatic breast cancer.
I am also passionate about medical education. As an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham, I play an active role in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. I also provide ongoing academic and pastoral support to 3rd, 4th, and 5th-year medical students in my role as a Personal Academic Tutor.
