I am a Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon based at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. My special interests include; cervical spine conditions, intradural tumours, metastatic spinal cord tumours and minimally invasive spinal neurosurgery.
I graduated from Bangladesh's prestigious medical school, Dhaka Medical College. I completed my basic surgical training and began my neurosurgical training in Dhaka, before emigrating to the UK to complete my MRCS. I then secured a place in the fiercely competitive National Neurosurgery Training Programme that lasted for eight years in the Northern Deanery, while subsequently completing my FRCS Neurosurgery degree. I also completed a one-year Orthopaedic Spinal Fellowship in Newcastle upon Tyne's Royal Victoria Infirmary.
I have published many articles in international journals and I've attended and presented papers at national and international conferences.
