I am a Consultant Neurologist who has been treating patients with neurological disorders since 2015. I have experience in treating a wide range of conditions such as blackouts, epilepsy, falls, functional disorders, gait disorders, headaches, migraines, muscle disorders, multiple sclerosis (MS), peripheral nerve disorders and Parkinson's disease. I specialise in movement disorders such as tremors, chorea, dystonia, tics, jerks, and hemiballismus.

One of my strengths is my familiarity with the local population and demographics. This gives me invaluable insight into the neurological disorders that are prevalent in this region, their treatment, and how best to manage patients' expectations. My aim is to deliver personalised care that delivers the best possible outcomes for each patient.

I treat various movement disorders such as hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, cervical dystonia (torticollis), head tremor, writer’s cramp, and jaw tremor. I have over a decade of experience in providing this kind of treatment. Additionally, I use nerve blocks to treat difficult headaches.

I earned my MBBS from the esteemed medical college, Dhaka Medical College, in Bangladesh back in 2000. I moved to the UK in 2003 and have been working in the NHS ever since. I completed my Medicine and Neurology training in Scotland, which has helped me to refine my skills and expertise in providing exceptional care to patients.

As the undergraduate lead for neurology in our Trust, I am passionate about educating the next generation of neurologists. I am also an MRCP examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and have an honorary senior clinical lecturer title with the University of Birmingham.

If you need compassionate care and expert treatment for neurological disorders, please do get in touch. I prefer to see patients with a GP referral however it is not essential.
