Professional profile

I work with patients who have had weight-loss (bariatric) surgery at Spire Hospital Leicester. I visit people in hospital after surgery and provide outpatient appointments and telephone or email contacts as required. I also supply detailed dietary information.

My aim is to help patients lose weight and keep the weight off long term, by encouraging them to follow a healthy diet and to develop practical skills for long-term weight management.

I studied Dietetics at Leeds Metropolitan University and have 26 years experience as a Registered Dietitian. I have specialised in Mental Health for 20 years and in Bariatric Surgery for 10 years.

I was awarded an MSc with Distinction in Weight Management in 2010 and am currently studying for a Post-Graduate Certificate in Understanding and Changing Behaviour. I work exclusively with people who are considering or who have had bariatric surgery.
