I am a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. I completed my undergraduate training in London and postgraduate training in East Anglia. I have gained wide experience in ENT working in a number of major teaching hospitals including St George's Hospital (London), Cambridge University Teaching Hospital and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
I was awarded an implant Fellowship in Cambridge that provided specialist training in skull base surgery, otology, hearing implantation surgery and balance disorders. My interest in these fields continue through my involvement in the advanced middle ear surgery course of which I am a convener and runs annually in Cambridge. As a consultant at Leeds Teaching Hospitals I am a member of a team dedicated to delivering the highest quality care in ENT, otology and hearing implantation.
My areas of responsibility include being governance lead for the department, setting up the multidisciplinary hearing implant MDT and leading on the new consultants' network. With my NHS practice in both Wharfedale Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary I provide a general adult and paediatric NHS practice including nasal and sinus disease with a special interest in adult and paediatric ear conditions including complex middle ear disease, balance disorders, tinnitus and hearing loss.

I live in Leeds with my young family. Through my wife I have an active involvement in the arts. I am a keen cyclist and climber and also a proficient sailor. A Francophile - I have travelled extensively and, having worked abroad, I'm experienced in life in the diverse culinary and cultural environments of Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Nepal and New Zealand.
