I am a consultant urologist at Spire Leeds Hospital, St James' University Hospital and an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Leeds. I am a specialist qualified in providing both medical and surgical care for urological problems in both men and women. My specialist interests and expertise are in female and functional urology in addition to the treatment of urinary tract stones. I have a particular interest in the treatment of both male and female urinary incontinence problems as well as vaginal prolapse.

Over the years I have been instrumental in providing state of the art treatment and high-quality care for urology problems in both men and women of all ages at St James in Leeds and previously in Wales.

I am a highly qualified consultant urologist with the highest certificates from the UK and Europe which entitles me to practise as a consultant in Europe, Saudi Arabia and India. I qualified from India and achieved basic surgical and urological training in India and the UK, with higher training in the UK and Europe.

I have worked in highly reputable teaching hospitals in the UK and abroad with more than 20 years of experience in various and complex urological problems.

I was awarded a prestigious fellowship in female and reconstructive urology by the European Association of Urology in 2011. I am considered trustworthy in all aspects of my practice. I have a special interest in innovative treatments for incontinence eg implanting pacemakers, slings and sphincters as well as minimally invasive treatments for symptomatic benign prostatic enlargement. My scope of practice ranges from circumcision, treating scrotal lumps, hydrocele repair, vasectomy, testicular and epididymal lumps, varicocele repair, treating benign prostatic hyperplasia, other bladder and prostate problems causing difficulty urinating or increased frequency, incontinence (lack of urinary control), stones in bladder, ureters and kidneys requiring laser treatment.

My special interest and expertise is treating urogynaecology problems for example urinary incontinence, prolapse, young females with difficulty urinating, bedtime urine leakage and recurrent urinary tract infections. I am an expert in applying tapes and newer devices like bladder pacemakers. There are a range of options to discuss before coming to a shared decision and that is why primary consultation is so vital and decisive.
